With the release of MACHINE HEAD’s debut, Burn My Eyes, during the tail end of metal’s time in the mainstream eye, the band set its sights on the next big thing with their third album, The Burning Red. Yup, the band had gone nu metal in sight and sounds. Check out the video for “From this Day”:
The video really speaks for itself, doesn’t it? The interesting thing is that The Burning Red is actually a solid album and is better than their second album, The More Things Change.
You’ve got to wonder though that had nu metal stayed big whether MACHINE HEAD would’ve returned to playing straight up metal or continue with nu metal.
