Video game giant, Activision, Inc., and Vagrant Records will make music history with the video game industry’s first stand-alone soundtrack CD that will feature original recordings from today’s most popular punk bands covering classic punk tunes. Set for release this Fall, the Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland CD showcases MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, FALL OUT BOY, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, THRICE, ALKALINE TRIO and others performing songs from the bands that influenced their careers and defined the punk music genre including the MISFITS, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, DESCENDENTS, BAD BRAINS and THE STOOGES. Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment for the Playstation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube. The soundtrack and the game will be released separately in time for the holiday season.
