ARCH ENEMY have confirmed that they will be kicking off their US tour with MACHINE HEAD at this weekend’s New England Hardcore And Metal Fest after visa woes derailed the band from participating in the first couple dates. Here’s the official word from the band:
“Confirmation has been received today that ARCH ENEMY singer Angela Gossow will be able to collect her visa paperwork on Thursday morning (the 29th). Assuming there are no further delays, it is anticipated that she will be able to fly to the US late tomorrow, allowing ARCH ENEMY to start the tour on Friday 30th at the New England Metalfest in Worcester, MA, and then continue on the MACHINE HEAD tour, playing all dates as advertised. It is a huge relief that this looks to be finally cleared up, but naturally the band are very disappointed not to be able to play the show at the Irving Plaza in NY tomorrow night…
“Of course, the MACHINE HEAD shows tonight in Philadelphia and tomorrow in New York will go ahead as planned, and we can only sincerely apologise again to our fans in NYC and to the MACHINE HEAD guys….we’ll make it up to you!!
“We have also added a one-off headline show towards the end of the tour. On 18th May, ARCH ENEMY will be headlining at the New Oasis in Reno, NV with GOD FORBID as main support…NB: MACHINE HEAD will not be appearing at this show!”
