Swedish death metal band, BLOODBATH, have announced the recruitment of HYPOCRISY mainman, Peter Tägtgren, replacing the departed Mike Åkerfeldt (OPETH). The group already boasts a who’s who line-up of Anders “Blakkheim” Nyström (KATATONIA, DIABOLICAL MASQUERADE, BEWITCHED), Jonas Renkse (KATATONIA, OCTOBER TIDE) and Dan Swanö (NIGHTINGALE, EDGE OF SANITY), and new drummer Martin “Axe” Axenrot (WITCHERY, SATANIC SLAUGHTER). The band are currently composing tunes for the follow-up to 2002’s Resurrection Through Carnage album.
