Norway’s GREEN CARNATION have signed with the French label, Season of Mist. Their first recording for the label will be called The Writings on the Wall. Recording will begin in January 2003 at Jailhouse studio in Kristiansand, Norway. As with their previous recordings, there will be additional instrumentation (piano, voice, strings, percussion) to take place at other locations such as concert halls and/or cathedrals. The Writings on the Wall will feature the same line-up that appeared on the previous album, Light of Day, Day of Darkness, yet the band assures us, “the listener should expect nothing like the previous albums!”

In other news, GREEN CARNATION are currently compiling a DVD featuring live performances of the band’s epic Light of Day, Day of Darkness album and assorted band related features.
