Icarus, the sister label of Deathwish Inc., have just announced their initial releases by HALFACRE GUNROOM and DEAR LOVER. The Icarus roster is comprised of experimental and non-aggressive artists who do not fit into existing sub-genres within the independent music scene.
DEAR LOVER is the monicker in which J. Bannon of CONVERGE has chosen for his most recent solo material. Wear Your Wounds is a strikingly somber double album. “Textural, melodic, and at times uncomfortably musically and lyrically exposed. There is no question that this release will elevate his dynamic artistic career to a new found level of respectability and intrigue.”
HALFACRE GUNROOM are a dark and melancholy alt-country band from Memphis, Tennesse. They are currently recording their debut album entitled Wrecked at Easly-McCain Recording (WHITE STRIPES).
Both albums will be released this September.
