ICED EARTH mainman Jon Schaffer has confirmed that the band have recruited ex-JUDAS PRIEST singer, Tim “The Ripper” Owens, following the band’s recent departure of long-time vocalist Matt Barlow. Owens, who himself recently parted ways with JUDAS PRIEST to make room for their reunion with Rob Halford, has already finished laying down the vocals for ICED EARTH’s forthcoming new album, The Glorious Burden. The album will be out this fall via SPV/Steamhammer Records. Three samples have been made available for listening here, including the album’s first single, “The Reckoning”.
