Los Angeles metal quartet INTRONAUT has confirmed the details on the recording of their upcoming debut full-length album. The band will commence recording the new album, title TBA, in early April at Shiva Industries in Santa Ana, CA with John Haddad (PHOBIA, EYES OF FIRE) producing. The band is aiming to have the album completed by month’s end. In early May, the album will be mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side.
“The studio time is booked, now all we have to do is finish writing the record,” jokes INTRONAUT guitarist Sacha Dunable. “No, seriously, the record is 3/4 written, and so far the quality of these songs is surpassing anything we did on the EP. We can’t wait to spend all this time in the studio with John and make the best record we possibly can.
“I can’t reveal the album’s title right now because it’s a secret (to us even, we haven’t decided on one yet…), but some song titles so far are “Rise To The Midden,” “Nostalgic Echo” and “A Monolithic Vulgarity.”
In the meantime, the band’s debut CDEP Null sees its international release via Goodfellow Records on February 28th. It is also for sale now via mailorder, bundled with an INTRONAUT t-shirt, at http://www.goodfellowrecords.com/shop.
INTRONAUT will be doing a few select dates in Southern California to celebrate Null’s release before heading into the studio to work on the full-length.
“People can check us out…at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood on March 10. These will be our last shows until after we finish recording.”
