IRON MAIDEN were humiliated during their last Ozzfest show at Devore, CA on August 21st. The band were subjected to being pelted with eggs, ice, water bottles, spit on by members of the audience, and having their sound cut out several times. Clean up crews had to mop up the stage several times between songs with Nicko McBrain’s drumkit suffering the brunt of the egg pelting. Despite the chaos, the band played on and finished their set. Sharon Osbourne, wife of Ozzy Osbourne/Ozzfest manager, then came on stage to praise MAIDEN fans and call Dickinson “a prick.” More details on this incident can be found here.
