JESU EP On The Horizon; Album And Split To Follow

Material from JESU, Justin Broadrick’s post-GODFLESH rock-oriented project, will finally see a release in the form of Heart Ache, a two-track EP clocking in around 40 minutes. The two tracks, “Heart Ache” and “Ruined” were recorded, mixed, and produced by Broadrick with no other contributing musicians. The EP is currently scheduled for a May or June release through Dry Run Recordings.

Meanwhile, JESU’s first full-length is its final stages of production. The as-yet-untitled album is said to feature 70 minutes of music in eight tracks and features the full band including GODFLESH alumni Ted Parsons (drums) and Dermot Dalton (bass). Another former GODFLESH member, Paul Neville, makes an appearance on one track as well. Some songtitles to appear on the effort include “Your Path to Divinity”, “Friends are Evil”, “Tired of Me”, “Sun Day”. and “Man/Woman.” Drums were recorded by Parsons in his hometown of Oslo, Norway while the rest of the recording was completed at Broadrick’s Avalanche studio.

The previously reported split with AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED is still in the pipeline for release via Relapse Records.

In related news, Broadrick’s TECHNO ANIMAL project with longtime collaborator, Kevin Martin, will cease to exist after March 30th; however, the duo will continue creating music together under the SUBSPECIES moniker.
