Glendale, AZ’s extreme metal unit JOB FOR A COWBOY and Polish death metal troupe BEHEMOTH will be co-headlining this year’s “Radio Rebellion” tour, presented by Hurley and Converse. The twenty-eight city North American trek will also feature highly regarded French band GOJIRA and Canadian technical death metal quartet BENEATH THE MASSACRE.
Ozzfest breakthrough artists BEHEMOTH are extremely proud to be a part of the “Radio Rebellion” tour, which is the perfect follow up to their highly successful summer run. The tour affords the band the opportunity to perform a longer set in more intimate settings, ultimately providing fans with “the definitive BEHEMOTH experience”. This is also a chance for the band to perform an array of songs from their highly acclaimed new offering, The Apostasy, which debuted at #149 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
“We’ve toured U.S. ten times during last few years but we almost never had a chance to headline our own shows,” BEHEMOTH main man Nergal states. “These last few years have been about working our asses off in order to establish our name and build a solid foundation, and now it will finally pay off. It’s high time for us to come back to North America and show our fans what a BEHEMOTH set with full production can be. I love all the bands that are joining us as there is a lot of quality and variety on the bill. I’m thrilled to tour with GOJIRA and JOB FOR A COWBOY is phenomenal! Extremely talented band. I can’t think of a better company for us. We’re bringing all our lights, a full stage production, and will be delivering at least an hour long set. We’ll be playing old stuff as well as songs from The Apostasy. The Radio Rebellion tour is going to be massive! See you there my friends!”
On the topic of the tour, JOB FOR A COWBOY founding member Ravi Bhadriraju comments, “To be a part of a tour along side some of the best acts from around the world is awesome. BEHEMOTH, GOJIRA and BENEATH THE MASSACRE are all from different countries and are all amazing bands. This will be the heaviest tour of the fall! We’re excited and ready to hit the road yet again. All of you JOB FOR A COWBOY fans can expect a show that will be worth your while. Look out!”
In addition to Hurley and Converse, “Radio Rebellion” 2007 tour sponsors include Revolver Magazine, Smartpunk, Metal Blade Records, Ferret Music and Prosthetic Records. “Radio Rebellion” Co-Founder Stewart Teggart comments, “We are very excited to launch this year’s ‘Rebellion Tour’. It will be ‘Radio Rebellion’ in the truest sense as we’ve assembled four of the most extreme bands in heavy metal. Each band on the tour this year hail from a different country and all of them have their own unique way of delivering brutally heavy music. If you are a fan of Metal, this tour is not to be missed! Radio Rebellion will be the microphone for the youth by delivering what the fans want to see and hear which is why sponsors with a similar frame of mind have been chosen to help support the tour.”
