NEVERMORE are currently situated at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, UK hard at work on their forthcoming new album, This Godless Endeavor with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY TESTAMENT). The new album, the first to feature new recruit, guitarist Steve Smyth (ex-TESTAMENT), is tentatively set for a late summer release through Century Media Records. Some songs to appear on the album include “This Godless Endeavor”, “The Psalm Of Lydia”, “Killing Time For The Pretty Ones”, “Sentient 6” and “Bittersweet Feast.” A cover version of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Revelation (Mother Earth)” is also in the plans to be recorded.
In other news, NEVERMORE’s previous album, Enemies of Reality, has gotten the remix treatment from Sneap to be repackaged with new cover art, two promotional videos ("Enemies of Reality" and “I, Voyager”), as well as a live video of “Enemies of Reality” filmed at this past summer’s Wacken Open Air. This version will replace the existing version of the album in stores beginning late March. For fans who have already purchased the album and want the new edition, they can purchase a CD-only version (no case or artwork) for $5 from the Century Media webshop in the coming weeks. The disc will be mailed in a CD sleeve, and a link to a special website containing the downloadable revised artwork will be included in order confirmation e-mails. Listen to a remixed/remastered version of “Ambivalent” from the new Enemies of Reality here.
