Underground extreme metal is recognized as a respectable form of popular music in Norway. SATYRICON, IMMORTAL, RED HARVEST, KHOLD, and ARCTURUS have been nominated for “Metal Album of the Year” at the Alarmprisen 03 (Alarm Awards).
