TURBONEGRO frontman, Hank von Helvete, was struck in the head by a bottle thrown from the crowd at their show at the Mercury Lounge in New York on Sunday night (March 30th), according to NME.com. The show was stopped and the singer was rushed to a local hospital where he received ten stitches in his forehead. The incident happened a mere three songs into their set. Reportedly, the sold out crowd became restless and began throwing several bottles at the stage.
Despite being kept at the hospital overnight for observation, TURBONEGRO did play the second of their two New York gigs last night at the Bowery Ballroom.
