Norway’s TURBONEGRO, who recently reformed following a four-year break, have announced that their forthcoming album will carry the title Scandinavian Leather. The band will record at the legendary Polar Studios in Sweden and have recruited Joe Baresi (SATYRICON, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, HOLE) to oversee production duties.
According to bassist Happy Tom, “It’ll be the most destructive party-album you’ve ever heard. Scandinavian Leather will end up four or five times better than Apocalypse Dudes [the previous album].”
Scandinavian Leather has a tentative release date for April 28, 2003 on Burning Heart Records in Europe and Epitaph Records in the US.
In other news, TURBONEGRO have been confirmed for next year’s Øya Festival in Oslo, Norway. The fest will take place August 8th and 9th.
